Electrical Safety Training

An effective electrical safety training program should provide workers with the knowledge to identify the causes and ways to prevent electrical hazards. A good electrical safety training program will help employees:

Increase arc flash awareness and its consequences
Learn how to assess and document arc flash hazards
Select and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Comprehend and follow warning signs, labels and lockout/tagout procedures
Ensure safe work practices to reduce risk while working on energized equipment
Understand OSHA violations, NFPA standards and NEC codes

The training program is online and/or on-site. Training will establish employee proficiency in the work practices and introduce the procedures necessary for compliance. Employer records that the employee has received the required training and demonstrates proficiency as part of its safety program.
